The purpose of this microsite was to cheer-on one of the divisions of Richmond American Homes (Jacksonville) during a big promotion. The idea was to create urgency and help them reach their sales goal. I did the flash animation and actionscript for the header and the thermometer. The thermometer .swf uses an external file for the number of houses sold.
Using their logo, I tried to bring across the intensity and urgency of The Cell exhibit that this banner was advertising.
I entered this design in the 2008 Plastisol Free-4-All T-Shirt Contest put on by Indyink, and subsequently at Design By Humans, and Threadless. It won none of these contests, but it won a place on my website!
This is an internal corporate email I did while at Richmond American Homes, for the company CEO’s birthday celebration.
I created the illustration "Circuitree" to promote the first inorganik.net in 2007.
Using the same illustration I used for my postcard, I created a t-shirt design and got second-place in the first Indyink Plastisol Free-4-All in 2007. The shirt was printed in limited quantities and sold until 2008. Unbeknownst to the wearer, they are advertising my brand!
I created this logo and certificate for a fundraiser that a co-worker and friend of mine, Barry Woodhead, created. Barry built an internal website which tracked the growth of our moustaches on a weekly basis, raising money for the Susan G. Komen foundation by charging users for votes they cast for their favorite moustache. Here’s a screen grab of the site on the first day of the contest.
I designed and coded this Realtor E-Newsletter while at Richmond American Homes. Marketing emails or “e-blasts” have to be coded in tables, and must render properly in a variety of email clients, each of which conform to different web standards. This one renders properly in Outlook ‘07, Entourage, Gmail and Hotmail, among others.
Working for a big builder, you market hundreds of subdivisions, (we call them “communities”) with no distinct features whatsoever. The challenge is naming them. There were lots of strange names we used. I created this flash project to poke fun at the naming conventions, and added the dimension of whether it was a “happy” or “sad” community. Go ahead, try it out!
These are flyers I designed to promote my dj gigs. Some were printed by the hundreds and some were more like banner ads that I would post on myspace and facebook.
I am responsible for the animation seen here. Though most banner animations are a little more jumpy and eye-catching, this one stays in line with the Richmond brand, classy and elegant.
Sidenote: When I started at Richmond, I couldn’t believe they didn’t have a favicon, so I created this one for them.
One more animation for a campaign that I did. Maintaining Richmond’s brand-image but bringing it to life.
One of many banners I did at Richmond. There is subtle movement that draws the eye, which is important when you’re competing with a whole webpage full of information-pollution. Still creates urgency without obnoxoius animation and repeating exclamation points.
Here’s a logo I did a while back for some friends who were trying to start up a Poker Table company. The business never got off the ground but I got a nice portfolio piece.
Every year the bookstore at CSU gives away a football T-shirt that everyone wears. Playing off the Heaven’s Gate theme and using an illustration I did of the popular coach at the time (Sonny Lubick) I created this design. Unfortunately it was never used.
Glimpse into the past of inorganik. Launched in January 2007, this was my first venture in flash. If I came this far from 1.0 in two years, imagine where I’ll be in two more... Launch »

I also consider this website a piece of my portfolio, since I designed and built it.
